Welcome To The Vandy Deli

1/3

We Are OPEN for TAKE OUT ONLY

We are trying to do our part with extra cleaning and disinfecting so we can serve our dedicated and hard working health care employees and visitors and we have removed the stools from our small counter area.

We are wearing our masks and checking our employee's temperatures daily. Please no more than 4 people inside the deli at any one time and continue to practice social distancing. If you don't feel safe coming into the deli call your order ahead at 615.321.3474 and we will bring your order outside and take your payment. Please call at least 30 minutes ahead of time so we can properly prepare your order.

Remember we only take cash and personal checks, no credit cards.  If you decide to come in the deli to place and pick up your order, please practice social distancing.  Our deli is small and this may be difficult, so we may have to limit the number of customers inside the deli at any given time.

We want to thank you so much for your patronage during these trying times and wishing everyone good health, mind, body, and spirit.

Our Story

The Vandy Delicatessen, better known as the Vandy Deli, was established in 1989 in Nashville, TN by Libby Campbell, and our Nashville Deli has been in continuous operation ever since.  Libby had a vision to provide a local Nashville deli and Nashville sandwich shop for Vanderbilt employees and visitors where they could get a good lunch at a reasonable price.  We are a small Nashville deli and Nashville sandwich shop dedicated primarily to take-out only lunch orders, since there are only 5 counter seats.  We have been serving sub sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, drinks, and daily specials for lunch in Nashville for more than 30 years.  If you are looking for a great lunch place or take-out sandwich shop, please visit us. Our customers and the food we serve are our highest priority.  If you are not satisfied with our food or service, please let us know.  We will make it right.

Parking
The entrance into Dixie Place is primarily for access to the Vanderbilt Medical Center East Garage, but there are parking spaces for visitors.  You must take a ticket to enter the East Garage, but you have 30 minutes free.   It is best to park in front of the Oxford House Barber Shop, or on the East side of the building and we can validate your ticket.

Payment
We take orders in person or by phone at (615) 321-3474.  Currently we do not have the capability to accept online ordering or fax requests. We accept Cash, Personal Checks, and Vanderbilt Small Purchase Orders.  Sorry, but we do not accept credit cards at this time.

Catering

We can cater your special event, luncheon, breakfast, or small office party.  Catering is pick-up only.  Call us and let us prepare something special for you.
